Having heard Djembe before , I knew I was in for a really great show. Arriving in to Rainbow Painters pavillion , I was warmly greeted by Patience and Timo Dumping . Djembe had just started singing his opening song , a smooth , jazzy number 'Song For You ', followed by 'You Are So Beautiful ', And Ed Sheeran's 'Afterglow'. By now Djembe had us all in his hands, loving every Tune and hungry for more .
Djembe has a magic about him , hitting every note perfectly . He 'is 'At One' with his audience, holding us captive with his amazing voice. Djembe loves the banter in local chat and doesn't miss anything . He is right there chatting with you , making slightly cheeky comments with that delightful laugh of his , never missing a beat.
He picked up the beat with 'You Can leave Your Hat On ' with Patience encouraging us to leave our hats on. Patience had us on her dance hud on and choreographed the dances to match Djembe's songs.
Then he pulled out 'Dancing Cheek to Cheek ' ,followed by a complete change of style which Djembe excels at , 'Panis Angelicus' . I love all and any music but this is my all time favourite , I love this genre and listened in rapt silence , savouring every note .
This was closely followed Kenny Chesney's 'You Had Me From Hello'. The time was flying by.
Next was 'Somewhere' followed by Loreena McKennits 'The Mummers Dance' A haunting Celtic style Song , another all time favourite genre of mine . I was enthralled by this, Djembe made it his own.
Another Up beat song 'New York New York' brought us near the end of a stunning show , Djembe nailed every song and made it his own , He was with his Audience totally ,chatting and wrapping us in his Warm and wonderful personality. He is quite simply 'A Master of Song'
The Grecian Style Pavillion that is Rainbow Painter's main Venue has a light airy feel looking out to the Water , Behind it is The Art Gallery which exhibits the Art Work of 42 artists , well worth a visit to Browse around and maybe pick up an artwork or two for your home. Patience and Timo Dumpling , also have another Venue with a Circus and Fairground , which I plan on exploring on another visit.
