Feed a smile success

Our first fundraising event for the awesome Feed a Smile charity took place on Friday December 16th - and what a suucess it was!

In the European section DJs Veleri Kai and Evan 

cooked up a storm, and later the American line-up

featuring DJs Noel and Alvie rounded off the 

evening in fine style.

There was a wonderful party atmosphere throughout,

and over both sessions, a truly amazing 20,000L was

raised for the charity, equating to 200 meals for the

children of Kenya.

Last Thursday the LLK kids in Nakuru, Kenya ate a meal bought with the money raised from our December event. Here are some pictures from their meal that day, together with a wonderful "thank you" picture from those wonderful children.

Our second fundraising event for the awesome

Feed a Smile charity took place on Friday January 27th

- and what a suucess it was!

Spanning 10 hours and 3 continents, our amazing Live

performers and DJs created a party to rival anything

seen in Second Life before.

As the event closed, the board showed we had raised a 

staggering $100,600  for the wonderful Feed a Smile 

charity

$46,500 Feed a smile success

Our third fundraising event for the awesome

Feed a Smile charity took place on Friday February 17th

at Lyrics Ballroom - and what a success it was!

Spanning 10 hours and 3 continents, our amazing Live

performers and DJs created a party throughout and 

as the event closed, the board showed we had raised a 

superb 46,500  for this wonderful charity

superb 64,150 for this wonderful charity

HALF A MILLION! Feed a smile success

At 12pm on April 14th The Rossini Events 8 hour concert for Feed a Smile went ahead as planned.  The line up was as advertised -- 7 DJs and one live singer:

The event was a huge success and by the end a truly staggering $501,400 lindens had been raised for this wonderful charity.

Speaking after the event - Brique Topaz  the charity CEO

" I am totally speechless! This has to be the most successful 1-day event EVER!  I didn't want to trust my eyes (and mathematical ability to add...) and went to the SL site to see what 501900 is worth....OMG - my math was wrong - it's worth even more than I thought!
1,991 USD =1,876.06 Euros.

I'm going to find out what can be paid for with that amount. Possibly the roof or the floors to the entire kitchen!!!"

In addition to this, most of the money we raised on the 14th will go towards the construction of the much needed kitchen out there, ensuring that the kids now have chance to eat there on a long term basis.

Art Aid Gallery Opening

On Saturday 25th November our Art Gallery at Commonwealth Village opened. The opening event featured the fabulous Raven live on stage. There to officiate was Feed a Smile CEO Brique Topaz who was thrilled with the 8700L raised on the night.

January Art Aid concert - 51k raised !!

Our Art Aid concert for Feed a Smile was held at the Gallery Stage at Commonwealth Village on Saturday 6th January, and what a success it turned out to be!

During an action packed evening we were entertained by six of the most talented performers and DJs in the whole of Second Life, and by the end of the evening we had raised a massive 51.000 for the wonderful Feed a Smile charity.

Our next Art Aid concert will be held on Saturday 3rd February.  Watch this space for details....

ian bleac takes a thursday slot

We are proud to announce that Ian Bleac  has agreed to become a regular performer at our  Commonwealth Theater Events.  Ever since we opened, Ian has been a regular performer at Commonwealth and has often been the popular  star of our Open Mic events on Thursdays.  Now Ian will have his own weekly slot at 2pm every Thursday.

FEBRUARY Art Aid concert - 41k raised !!

Our Art Aid concert for Feed a Smile was held at the Gallery Stage at Commonwealth Village on Saturday 3rd February, and despite some technical issues, what a success it turned out to be!

During an action packed evening we were entertained by six of the most talented performers and DJs in the whole of Second Life, and by the end of the evening we had raised a massive 41.000 for the wonderful Feed a Smile charity.
