Grand Opening of Jae Sands' La Luna Dinner and Theater

And now, we find ourselves at the highly anticipated Grand Opening of Jae Sands' LaLuna Dinner and Theater! This momentous occasion has been a cherished dream of Jae's for quite some time, as he yearned for a club precisely like this one to showcase his performances.

The sim that houses LaLuna holds a remarkable history within its bounds. Originally owned by Sky Wildmist, a name many of you may fondly recall, it carries a bittersweet tale. Regrettably, Sky has passed away, but her legacy lives on through Lady Queenbsxy, one of tonight's performers. Lady, in loving memory of Sky Wildmist, carries forward the cherished tradition here in the Nirvana sim, preserving the spirit that Sky had once nurtured.

When I arrived at LaLuna before the performances started, Lady Queenbsxy and ͜͡ĄŁĄƝĄ came to greet me. Cytraveler is the tech person here and has done a amazing job on the lights! They all are incredibly friendly, and ͜͡ĄŁĄƝĄ kindly escorted me to my seat for the show. The concept they have here is absolutely fantastic, and I highly recommend that you visit and discover everything it has to offer! A combination of dinner and a show—what more could you possibly desire?

LaLuna, which translates to "The Moon" in both Italian and Spanish, offers an extraordinary experience. When you zoom out within LaLuna, you'll discover that the entire club is nestled within the moon itself. As you gaze upwards, the sky gracefully revolves, revealing a breathtaking display of stars. Without a doubt, LaLuna is a remarkable club!

Attending the grand opening of a fresh venue in Second Life and experiencing the electrifying atmosphere is consistently invigorating!

To kick off the evening, Lady Queenbsxy mesmerizes the audience with her rendition of "Dreaming I Must Be Dreaming," the Anne Murray classic. She then continues with another Anne Murray song "Shadows In The Moonlight".

The other night, I decided to drop by and listen while they were rehearsing for this show. As Lady began to sing, despite it not being a Patsy Cline song, an uncanny resemblance to the iconic torch singer, Patsy Cline, instantly crossed my mind. It seemed like a perfect match for her! Surprisingly, tonight she delighted us all with a medley dedicated to the timeless songs of Patsy Cline.

She kicked off her set with the rendition of "Sweet Dreams of You" followed by the heartfelt melody of "I'm Back in Baby's Arms." The subsequent song caught me off guard, as I thought I was familiar with them all! (laughs) "Why Can't He Be You" turned out to be a beautiful, slow-paced tune that truly resonated with me. I simply adored it.

Up next was the captivating performance of "He Called Me Baby," followed by one of Patsy's universally recognized hits, "I Fall To Pieces."

After this round of Patsy hits, I was so impressed with Lady's singing, like I was when I came here for the rehearsal. She has a great natural technique where the singing just flows out of her so naturally. I am sure in our life, we have all heard singers trying to force their singing. Lady has a very comforting style, and I am sure you will be very surprised when you hear her!

"Who doesn't want to be where the boys are?" This catchy tune was originally sung by Connie Francis. Sometimes, I wish I had lived in that era to experience one of those fantastic beach parties!

Next song Lady performed was "Bad Woman Blues," originally sung by Beth Hart. It felt like she was singing it just for me! What a fantastic rendition, Lady! That song really struck a chord with me! We all have a little bit of a bad woman in us!

Next in line were a few songs by The Manhattans, a renowned R&B vocal group. "It's Been a Long, Long Time" and "Kiss and Say Goodbye" were among their hits. These songs suit Lady exceptionally well!.

I didn't anticipate Lady performing the next song, "Flowers" by Miley Cyrus, but let me tell you, she delivered an outstanding rendition and truly made it her own! While Leon asked me to dance, I was so captivated by Lady's performance that I completely missed his invitation. My apologies, Leon, and thank you for your patience! The power of that song is undeniable—it simply moves people and makes them want to dance! Later on, I made up for it with some dances.

Up next was the classic song "Black Velvet." Funny enough, I actually love singing this one during karaoke, ha! Did you know that this song was actually written about Elvis? The reference to "Black Velvet" in the song title was inspired by his black hair dye. I absolutely adore learning the intriguing history behind so many songs!

I may have overlooked a song or two during Lady's performance tonight, but it was truly unforgettable. Starting with enchanting renditions of Anne Murray's hits, transitioning smoothly into timeless Patsy Cline classics, and even surprising us with a sprinkle of Miley Cyrus, Lady showcased her incredible vocal range. Her voice carries a captivating tone, making her performance an absolute must-see.

Until next time...
